Irish Whistle
Caillagh has been producing Irish whistles for some time now. From it’s beginning they have made great strides, not only in producing instruments with a full, rich tone, but also in special surface preparation and a wonderful overall design.
Why Irish Whistle Caillagh?
Hand-made production ensures that each instrument is individually set up and tested, achieving the best possible result, to meet the most demanding requirements of professional players. The lip of the mouthpiece sound hole, across which the air passes, is polished to ease the exit of condensation from the player‘s breath and also has a polished brass edge. This is important for creating a precise tone. These whistles also have a tunable head which can be tuned by approx. +/-30 cent??? which is a great help when trying to get in tune when playing with a group! The producers of Caillagh Irish whistles provide a lifetime guarantee and backup service for all their instruments!!!

About Whistle...
The “Irish whistle” has six holes and is usually made of metal or plastic or, less commonly, wood. The whistle has a very characteristic sound which is widely used, not only in Irish music but also in other genres, because of it’s distinctive tonal colour. While it’s one of the easiest instruments to play it requires the right technique to play it in the true, characteristic style. Irish whistles usually come in various keys. The most used keys are D, for both high and low whistles, and also C.
